Who We Are
Realm of Caring (RoC) is an independent, high impact 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are a lean team of 15 full and part-time employees and for a small non-profit we are doing big things in the world of cannabinoid therapies. Meet our team.
What We Do
Realm of Caring is reimagining the way we think, talk, and respond to cannabis and the people who use it. Collaborating on innovative research. Providing revolutionary education. Empowering families to lead better lives.
RoC currently serves over 55,000 clients worldwide and has a network of over 1,300 healthcare providers. Our Observational Research Registry (ORR) gives us answers about cannabinoid therapies and we pass this information onto our clients through educational programs and one on one interactions with our Care Team.
Because Quality of Life Matters!
What does Quality of Life mean? It means something different to everyone and can be as simple as a smile or more eye contact. It can also be a major change like a decrease in seizures, less pain, news of cancer remission, or a nonverbal child speaking for the first time. Increased appetite, more restful sleep, and less stress all lead to better quality of LIFE. RoC guides the community to better health outcomes because everyone deserves the best life possible.
Programs and Services:
Averaging 6,000 inquiries each month, RoC Care Team is customer service at its finest! RoC Care Team really does CARE and is focused on providing as much information on cannabinoid science to clients and healthcare professionals as possible. RoC Client Portal offers a multitude of resources, including administration guidelines and calculators. Currently, the services provided by RoC Care Team are complimentary. Register your free client account NOW.
In addition, RoC offers free of cost monthly educational classes for anyone who needs guidance on starting cannabinoid therapies.
By funding and conducting research, we learn more about cannabis and hemp and their effects on the clients we serve. It also enables us to give data-driven answers to consumers and medical professionals. We have the largest research registry in the US in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University and the University of Pennsylvania. We also conduct studies with Harvard, Colorado State University, and VA Palo Alto Health Care System. Want to participate in our research program?
Grant Assistance Programs
We offer programs like Joy Fund and Realm Cares™ to help alleviate part of the financial strain associated with trying cannabinoid therapy, which is not covered by insurance, or to help with the cost of relocating to a medical cannabis state to get access to this option.
Healthcare Provider Portal
This healthcare specific portal provides a plethora of information to help providers better care for their patients using cannabinoid therapy. We conduct quarterly Provider Orientations providing administration calculators, guidelines, and research opportunities.
Heather oversees Realm of Caring on an international level as the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer to ensure the needs of clients are put first. Heather’s son, Zaki, is Realm of Caring’s second success story, who celebrated his 4th year seizure-free in 2016.
Paige co-founded RoC with Heather and fights tirelessly for national access to cannabinoid therapies. Mother of Charlotte, Paige’s daughter was the first to try the Stanleys’ high-CBD hemp extract, coined “Charlotte’s Web” due to her remarkable seizure relief. Currently, Paige is operating an advocacy-focused non-profit Coalition For Access Now.
Realm of Caring was informally established by Paige Figi and Heather Jackson, the first two success stories using Charlotte’s Web™, along with Joel Stanley in early 2012. After receiving several inquiries from families seeking help around the world, the group recognized the need to create a formal organization to not only collect research and data on individuals using cannabis products, but also to educate and advocate about this often misunderstood form of therapy.
Paige has since fulfilled a needed legislative role serving as Executive Director of Coalition for Access Now, a 501(c)(4) organization committed to educating the public and lawmakers on the health benefits associated with natural therapies derived from cannabis for chronic health conditions.
Heather now serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Realm of Caring, and Joel has transitioned to focus his efforts on production of Charlotte’s Web™ products.
The backbone of RoC has always been the family volunteers who have so passionately given their time and talent. With families at the helm, it is recognized that the vision and mission of the company are realized and the interest of clients will always be held first.
Realm of Caring Foundation was formally established on 8/13/13, and received its 501(c)(3) designation as a recognized non-profit entity. We continue with the same mission and vision that we always have: Quality of Life Matters™
RoC in action.
"I know the discussion around this topic will no doubt get heated. I have felt that heat. But I feel a greater responsibility than ever to make sure those heated discussions are also well-informed by science."
